It depends on your scar types, ice-pick, rolling and boxcar scars each respond to different tools, and most patients have a mixture. That's why our plans usually combine techniques: subcision to release tethered scars, TCA CROSS for ice-picks, lasers or microneedling for overall texture. It all begins with a careful assessment of your own scars.

Honestly: melasma is controlled, not cured. It is a chronic, relapsing condition triggered by light, heat and hormones. Managed properly, rigorous photoprotection plus regulated depigmenting protocols and low-energy laser toning, it can stay quiet for years. Our goal is honest, lasting control you can rely on.

Yes, with the right platform, settings and operator. Darker skin carries more reactive pigment cells, so we calibrate energy conservatively, use test spots where indicated, and choose low-inflammation approaches for melasma-prone skin. This is precisely why laser treatment should be doctor-led.

Condition-dependent: acne scars commonly need 3–6 sessions across modalities; pigmentation improves gradually over a series; tattoo removal takes multiple sessions depending on ink depth and colour. Your doctor gives you a realistic range at consultation, and progress photos track it.

Tell your doctor every medication you take, especially isotretinoin. Some procedures are timed around your medication course for safety; others can proceed. We coordinate the sequence individually rather than applying a blanket rule.

We select the technique, shave, laser or excision, that minimises marking for that specific lesion and location. A small mark is sometimes unavoidable, and we will tell you honestly beforehand. Any suspicious lesion is referred for histology first: safety before cosmetics, always.

Tropical sun exposure makes pigmentation persistent, so we combine regulated depigmentation (such as Dermamelan), gentle pigment lasers, and strict daily photoprotection. Aggressive laser settings on melasma can worsen it, which is why our protocols are deliberately conservative.

Melasma is managed, not cured. It is a chronic condition influenced by hormones, heat and UV. With the right programme most patients achieve significant, maintained clearing, with honest expectations set from day one.

Distinct sun spots often clear in 1 to 3 sessions. Diffuse tone and melasma-related pigment typically need 3 to 6 gentle sessions spaced weeks apart. Your dermatology assessment maps this before you commit.

It varies by method: subcision and RF microneedling typically need 2 to 4 days of social downtime; fractional lasers 4 to 7 days. We sequence treatments around your calendar and always tell you the realistic recovery before booking.

Both, and in that order. Active inflammation is settled first with medical care, then scar remodelling begins once the skin is quiet. Treating scars over active acne wastes both money and results.

It depends on the ink depth, colours, age of the tattoo and your skin type, which is why we assess before quoting. Sessions are spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart so your body can clear the fragmented pigment. Our team has documented more than 800 tattoo removal cases since 2013, including cosmetic eyebrow and eyeliner tattoos.

With Q-switched and picosecond technology (Fotona QX MAX), the laser targets pigment while preserving surrounding skin, so scarring is rare when aftercare is followed. Temporary redness, swelling or blistering can occur and settles within days; pigment changes are usually temporary.
